Falco Alarm Company keeps it in the family

Falco Alarm Company of Tulsa opened in 1988 when Robert Lair, a man with 30 years prior alarm system experience, and his son-in-law David Fletcher started their own company.  By 1991, they expanded with a new branch in Oklahoma City and expanded again in 1996 to Stillwater . 

Falco Alarm provides commercial and residential services with a proprietary monitoring system. Other services include security, access control, video surveillance, home theater, nurse call and fire systems/inspection.

This family-owned and operated Oklahoma company is working on its fourth generation with three grandchildren often “helping out” in the office. About five years ago, Robert retired leaving the daily operations to David, Falco Alarm owner.

However, the woman who really keeps this family in line is Carol Fletcher, office manager, who has worked alongside her father and husband for more than twenty years. Her two sons are also employed within the company. Steve Fletcher, pictured,\with his mother, began working in sales almost two years ago and his brother Dan has been working there seven years.

Dan works in purchasing doing much of the company’s logistics and operations.  Dan’s wife also works for the company as administrative assistant, also known as Carol’s right hand.

About four years ago, Falco expanded their operation to include smart-phone monitoring. In partnership with Honeywell Total Connect, Falco offers a smart-phone application for download, allowing its customers to arm and disarm their alarm system and view video surveillance all from the phone. The partnership with Honeywell also allows them to provide customers with alarm monitoring without a landline phone.
