This implies that you should have a certain level of trust in our industry. 

We feel that our industry should be open to public scrutiny, and that you should be able to express your opinions, good or bad. This site is here to provide you with resources to aid in your decision when selecting an alarm dealer and to give you a forum to voice concerns. Below are a few of the things that the Oklahoma Burglar and Fire Alarm Association brings to Oklahoma in an effort to earn your trust.

Background Checks.  If you are going to trust us with your valuables and the safety of your home and family we feel that you should feel confident that the people who come to your home are free of felony records and have already earned the trust of the state.

Training.  To insure that alarm personnel are competent to install devices properly, that will function properly when an emergency arises, the OKBFAA participates in the  NESA training and strive to bring all alarm personnel to the modern standards of the industry.

Industry Regulation.  The Oklahoma Department of Health regulates the alarm industry in the state. The OKBFAA works closely with the Health Department to bring regulation to the alarm industry in the interest of protecting the public.

We have provided a list of alarm dealers that are members of the OKBFAA and links to those who have web sites. Please feel free to contact us, for any reason, regarding our members, or any alarm dealer in Oklahoma . Any person who contacts you about an alarm system must be licensed in Oklahoma .  Ask to see the license before doing business with any dealer, and report anyone who is not able to display their license or any other suspected violation of the Alarm Licensing Act,  to the Oklahoma Department of Health.
